The Safe Routes to School (SR2S) ProgramBowman School is proud to participate in the Safe Routes to School Program. Its main purpose is to reduce traffic congestion at schools by promoting walking, biking, scootering and car pooling and increasing bus ridership. It is an established program that has already been run internationally and in many towns across the USA. Other goals of the program include promoting exercise, creating a
healthier environment, community building, promoting independence and
instilling road sense in children. It is also known that active children
