Introduction

In Grade 2 there are 3 walks, one in each season. Each is linked to a different part of the curriculum. The information we currently have available for the Grade 2 class is underlined.

Fall

This walk is linked to the Social Studies unit on Native Americans. It explores how pre-Colonial Native Americans used plants for food, medicine and shelter.

Winter

The students explore the properties of snow and ice as part of the science unit. If there is no snow during the winter there are 2 alternative 'snowless' walks, a long one and a short one.
