1. In Gym we learned how to play Capture the Flag.
2. In Social Studies we learned about landmarks on maps.
3. In Art we learned how to set up our materials so that
    we could watercolor.
4. In Music we learned the song,"Apple Tree,Apple Tree."
5. In Math we learned strategies for -8 and -9 number
    facts. We also used Fact Loops.
6. In the Library we learned how to use the Index and
    Table of Contents in our research.
7. In Writing we began to put together paragraphs.
8. In Reading we discussed why authors think that the
    setting(when and where) of a story is important.
9. We discovered three sounds for the suffix -ed.

Endearing Moment of the Week: In Guided Reading we were discussing the vocabulary word "woods". One child suggested "forest" another, "grove". One intrepid student said"Woods, sounds like Foxwoods!"
