Vision Statement

The mission of the Lexington Public Schools' Department of Libraries and Information Technologies is to prepare our students to be informed, productive, and concerned citizens in an information-driven society. To that end we encourage students to continue learning throughout their lives, and we help them acquire the necessary strategies and skills to do so.

Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of the Bowman School Library Program. Volunteers help check out and shelve books, prepare class materials, make displays, and assist with clerical work.

Volunteering in the library is a great way to get involved at Bowman. If you are able to donate between 1 and 3 hours per week, can come at the same time each week, and can bring your enthusiasm, we would be happy to have you.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Bowman Library, please contact Ms. Melinda Loof.
